This is my Third month of IPSY (formerly My Glam).  This subscription is $10 a month with free shipping. Members receive a beautiful Glam Bag with 4-5 deluxe samples and full-sized beauty products. It’s delivered in a cute pink puffy mailer. This month’s theme is “Get Red Carpet Ready”.

The bag this month is a shiny black  little make up bag with a red lining. .

Once again I was a sucker for a Mystery Box. Here is Julep’s Cupid’s Mystery Box:

Morgan ($14): “frosty grape purple shimmer”

Petra ($14):  “cranberry magenta with silver shimmer” (this is my second bottle of this shade)

Maria ($14): “shimmering platinum rose”

Carrie ($14): “classic, cotton candy pink crème” Very pretty, but I’m not into pinks.

 

 

 

 

Lip Vernis ~ Camellia ($18): This is a very sheer pink. It’s also my first Julep lip color. Again, I’m not into pink. I’m thinking I should have skipped this box. I should have know a valentine box would be “Pink” 🙂

Yuzen is $26/quarter and it always comes with colorful Japanese paper called Yuzen as wrapping. They coordinate the wrapping with the insert about the products.  A BEAUTIFUL presentation.  All the products included in the box are deluxe sample size to full size.

This month is “Season of Love and New Beginnings.”

Marine Repair Cream from Spa Technologies: a botanical product made from seaweed that is free of parabens and petroleum products.  It’s also a moisturizer. There’s no size listed, but it’s about 1/2 the size of the Juara mask, so I’m declaring it a .25 oz sample.  The full size (2 oz) is $96 (WOW!), so this sample is worth $12.

Juara all-natural mask from is made with avocado and banana.  It’s a leave-on mask, so it keeps working long after the usual 10-15 minutes you usually get from a face mask.  A full-size 2.8 oz retails for $35, making this .5 oz sample worth $6.25.

Kneipp Deep Sleep Mineral Bath Salt: With Valerian root and hops to help ease a racing mind at the end of a long day and promote a deep, restorative sleep so yu can wake up refreshed. The full-size 17.6 oz retails for $19, making this 2.1 oz sample worth about $2.25.

Jane Iredale lippies:  Lipdrink is a moisturizer with SPF 15 and a light lemon scent, the Just Kissed Lip and Cheek Stain goes on clear and adjusts to a pink according to your body chemistry, and the Lip Plumper is a tinted moisturizer in “Tokyo”, a sheer red. There is no size listed on these, so I can’t assign value, but the Lip Drink is $12 on the website, and the Lip Plumper and Just Kissed are $25 each.

 

 

Essence of Vali.  The description is “a warm floral, slightly citrus scent that’s sensual and serene at the same time.” Full size (2 oz) retails for $60

Naturopathica Espresso Mud Body Scrub: exfoliates the skin and removes impurities with “rich ingredients like Coffee Arabica, Indian Sarsaparilla, and volcanic pumice and black silt clay” to get the blood pumpin’!  The full size is 5 oz and retails for $32, so this (generous) 2 oz sample is worth $12.80!

Nova Monda!  This is an “eco-ethical” treat. This 2-truffle pack is available from their website for $4. They were sooooo yummy!

Red Flower: Blood Orange scent. This “Little Flower” candle has a 15-hour burn time and retails for $14. This is my third candle and I can’t get enough of them!

I know it’s almost the middle of February, but I just got my GlossyBox for January. Not too happy about that. It’s a great box though so all is well.

This month was curated by The Man Repeller, a fashion blogger.  Instead of the usual pale pink box, the Man Repeller collaboration is a metallic silver with a cheeky faux-stamped “The Man Repeller” logo.
