WHAT.A.JOKE!
This has got to be the worst subscription box EVER. Ok, maybe not ever but I’m pretty upset. First, it’s taken me months to get this. I thought I finally got it only to be e-mailed that “they are out” and my order was deleted. FINALLY I got it. I’d read so many good things about the April/May boxes I thought it was too good to be true. IT IS.

Lifting the box was my first clue. I could lift it with two fingers.

This was what I got.

 

 

 

10 St. Dalfour tea bags (5 green tea mango, 5 breakfast)
1 Sparklehearts sparkey body lotion (small one time sample)
1 Sparklehearts shine shampoo (small one time sample)
4 Redmond earthpaste (3 Grams per sample: peppermint, cinnamon
Wintergreen, & lemon twist)
1 Acure organics argan oil ( 0.1oz ? Very small sample)
1 Atopalm moisturizer cream ( 0.25 oz sample)
1 Supersmile Quikee breath freshening (0.05 oz sample)
1 White Egret candles Paraffin ( 2pack)

 

A hand-full of tea bags and foil samples. I seriously doubt this adds up to $13.99 much less the $70 they claim. I’m cancelling this sub straight away!  SAVE YOUR MONEY!

 

Daily Dose of Green

is a monthly subscription service featuring eco-friendly products. The cost is $15 per month. 🙂 Overall, I am extremely pleased with the variety and quality of samples received. I already have some favorites. I love the fact that the box is a mix of beauty, home and food products.

Julep Mystery Box Miami

Out of the three Destination Mystery Boxes I chose Miami. The other two choices were Laguna Beach or The Hamptons.

I got three nail polishes:

Paris ~ It Girl:  Multidimensional holographic glitter top coat

Isla ~ Boho Glam:  Soft milky-white metallic

Lauren ~ Classic With A Twish: Hot tropical pink crème

2 Products:

Dry Clean ~ Invisible Dry Shampoo

Lip Balm ~ Strawberry Mint

I’m beyond disappointed. They claim the values of boxes are between $70-$200. First,  I NEVER get a high-end box. I ALWAYS get the lowest. Second, this month didn’t even add up to $70.

I’m starting to get into Indy subscription boxes. I love the idea of supporting small businesses. I’m also trying to incorporate more handmade products into my personal care. I want to know what exactly I’m putting on my skin!  So it’s no surprise that I subscribed to Ophelia’s Apothecary Box.

Ophelia’s Apothecary, based out of Branson, Missouri, is an indie face/body/spirit care company. They’ve been around for a few years, but their subscription service is new.

The Price: $15 with quarterly and twice yearly subscriptions also available.

What is the loot? “A style profile can customize your treats to your preferences, you can cancel at any time or skip a month. Packages will include 4 or 5 fabulous treats, some full sizes, some samples, sometimes a piece of jewelry, information about the products in your box, and coupons and specials just for you based on your spending habits with Ophelia’s Apothecary. All products, for the most part, will be straight from our studio, unless I find a treat to include that you might like from elsewhere. If you refer someone, please message me their name and once you have signed up 4 people, you will get one month free!” *hint hint* 🙂

I’m super excited about this box and can’t wait to get it and share it with you!
