I keep threatening to cancel my sub with Beauty Box 5, but I just can’t do it. Sure there were some questionable products, but there were also amazing ones. I’ve tried lip glosses that I never EVER would have picked out. I ended up loving them. BB5 was not only my first box, but the first sub that introduced me to vegan eye shadows. LOVE THEM!

I blame this box for starting my subscription box addiction! 🙂

It’s Eco-Emi time! I can’t say enough how much I LOVE this box. It’s always so festive and fun. They really go way out. I’m always super impressed even when there are products I don’t like.

This month we are wished a happy Summer and given another holiday themed box: Fourth of July. When I opened my box I saw that everything was wrapped in a flag bandana. My goodies were wrapped in red tissue and there was blue & white star glitter. Weeeeee

BoxyCharm is a new subscription service that launched this month. They deliver full and sample-size beauty products.  They sent out a few boxes last month (Where do I get the hook-up for free boxes??) and people were freaking out because the products were from drugstores and the research they did lead them to the conclusion that the products were discontinued. Shortly after, BoxyCharm posted a disclaimer on Facebook (I also got an e-mail) that they indeed get products from 3rd parties that may or may not be discontinued.

I got my box and I’m happy with it. All the stuff was from brands I know, but the product itself was “new and different” to me. BONUS: They were all full-sized products.

Yes, most of these items are things I would not buy, but I’m glad I got introduced to them. That’s the point of Subs isn’t it? To be introduced to new and DIFFERENT products. If I don’t like them (sometimes I don’t care for the high-end stuff I get.) I pass them to a friend or family member. I make up my own Sub/Mystery boxes. LOL Enough ranting.. This is what I got in my box this month.

I kept Hello Flo for a second month. I was half expecting another cute clothe bag, but didn’t get one. It must be for first time subscribers. I guess that makes sense. I personally wouldn’t mind several of them though. 🙂

I am subscribed to “Light Flo” because I’m blessed with a short T.O.M. It’s $14 and I get just enough supplies to get me through it.

Like last month I got a handful of tampons (Tampax Pearl)  and a handful of pads/liners (Always). Umm I didn’t count them. LOL

They skipped chocolate this month *gasp* due to warmer temps. They didn’t want us to open a box of melted mess. Instead we got Cocomels, caramels made with coconut milk and corn syrup free. YaY! I love coconut milk and anything made with it.

I also got 1 “Box” brand intimate wipes. I wish they would have thrown a few more in there. I mean, one isn’t enough to carry a girl through. Oh well.

I caved (shock shock) and got the Total Beauty Mystery Box. They promised $100 in product for $20. This box does not contain $100, unless you count the $50 wine club card that every sub box seems to be dishing out. I can’t use it. MT is one of the states were it’s illegal to have alcohol shipped to you. 🙁 Needless to say I’m a little miffed, but as for the rest of the box….

I was super excited about the Ziaja Goat’s Milk Eye Cream. Full size product!  $7.99 I love eye creams! I work 12/hr graveyard shifts and use everything I can to keep my eyes looking sharp.

Neutrogena Naturals Lip Balm Value $3.49 I have several of these now thanks to Total Beauty LOL

Alfaparf Milano Illuminating Serum .25 oz Value $10 This leaked so I had to throw it away. 🙁 I wasn’t too keen on the smell so it’s all good.

Qtips Travel Pack ~ Value $2 I love these! BF or I travel a lot so they come in handy.

Honest Face & Body Lotion  1 oz Value $1.50 I’ve received Honest products in this sub and others and I must say I love them all. I can never have too much of it.

EBOOST Daily Health Booster  7 Packets Value $5.  This is another popular sub box item. I’ve yet to try it, but after giving them to some co-workers I’m trashing the stash I have. They all HATED it.

NYX Roll on Shimmer in Blue  FULL SIZE! Value $4. I love the shade, but I’m too chicken to try it out.

I was expecting a box full of repeats from their other boxes and I was ok with that. What I’m not ok with is that they promised $100 worth of loot and my box (I refuse to count that stupid wine club card) was only $60ish.

I’m sure I’ll get over it by the time they have another mystery box. 🙂 Did you get one? Was yours the same or did it have different products? I’m so curious to find out!

I am so not happy with this month’s Beauty Box 5. It’s almost like it’s a repeat of last month.

Just Being Sexy ~ Body Bronzer (last month it was tanning wipes)

Aveeno Protect & Hydrate lotion and sunscreen. meh!

Brazen Cosmetics ~ Eyeshadow “Illusion” (the only thing I like about this box)

Coolway ~ Cool Cleanse Shampoo & Hydrate Conditioner. last month we got their hairspray. BUT at least we got both S/C. I get so irritated when we get one or the other only.

Sooo… Overall it’s not a bad month. I really do love BB5. I just must be grumpy. 🙂
