postheadericon Nature Box ~ December

NatureBox is a monthly subscription snack box. Each month they send out four to six full size snack options. The boxes cost $19.95/month, with the option to pause or cancel at any time. You can also use coupon code REFER25 for 25% off your first month’s box. Three-, six-, and twelve-month subscriptions are also available, as well as gift subscriptions. In addition to feeling good about your snack choices, you can feel good about the company you support. For every box purchased, NatureBox donates one meal to the over 14 million hungry American children.

I got my first NatureBox today and I am impressed! I love snacking and love it even more when it’s healthy. My box included 5 snack bags, each full-sized!  My bags were:

Big Island Pineapple

All Natural Yogurt Pretzels

Cranberry Jubilee ~ This is a trail mix with pumpkin seeds, cranberries, sunflower seeds, almonds, papaya, raisins, Brazil nuts, and apples.

Apple Crunch Granola ~ This is a granola mix with oats, apples,  cashews, pumpkin seeds, almonds, coconut, and spices.

Garden Tomato Crunchies ~ Tomato almonds with chili powder. !!!! I gave this bag to my mom 🙂

All of these bags are vegan and have NO high fructose corn syrup, NO partially hydrogenated oils, NO trans fats, NO artificial sweeteners, NO artificial flavors, and NO artificial colors.

Even without all that junk, they taste amazing! I can’t wait until next month!

postheadericon Allure HOLIDAY Beauty Box ~ December 2012

I’m so excited that I got this box. I miss most of the special addition/seasonal Allure boxes because they sell out sooo fast. I paid 29.99 + S/H and got close to $200 in products that I or my family will definitely use. Another perk… $5 from every box sold goes to the Laura Mercier Ovarian Cancer Fund.

This box was filled to the brim, packaged very carefully and neatly. Did I mention lots of bubble wrap? YaY! My cats hate me now, but I’m sure all will be forgiven once I empty the box out.

Here are the goodies I got.

Nivea ~ Touch of Renewal Lathering Body Scrub

John Frieda ~ Sheer Blond Crystal Clear Shape & Shimmer Hairspray

John Frieda ~ Frizz-Ease Daily Nourishment Leave-In Conditioning Spray

Miss Professional Nail ~ Sation Nail Lacquer in “Front Row Flasher”

RoC ~ Multi Correxion 4-Zone Daily Moisturizer SPF 30

GK ~ Dry Shampoo

YOUNGBLOOD ~ Mineral Illuminatinting Tint – Body

Joico ~ Power Fast-Dry Finishing Spray

PIXI ~ Lip  & Line

Neutrogena ~ Rapid Tone Repair (I totally need this!)

Neutrogena ~ Revitalizing Lip Balm SPH 20

NYX ~ Glam Lipstick Aqua Lux (way too pink for me!)

c. Booth ~ Honey & Almond Body Butter (Smells so good I want to eat it.)

Jergens ~ Daily Moisture Dry Skin Moisturizer

John Freida ~ Brilliant Brunette Liquid Shine Shine Shock perfecting Glosser

Maybelline ~ Color Sensational High Shine Gloss

So with the exception of a few things I love this box and can’t wait until next season. I’m already crossing my fingers that I get it!

postheadericon Best of KLUTCHclub Box

I am a sucker for mystery boxes and that is what this box was touted to be. The only thing I knew was it contained products from previous months and it’s valued at over $100. w00t!  That didn’t bother me because I LOVE KLUTCHclub and I’ve only been getting them for a few months. So here is what I got…

Chapfix Lipbalm, SPF 15, Mint, .14 Oz ~ Chapstick for men. Tossed this on my boyfriend’s desk. Let’s see how long it takes him to notice/find it. hehehehe

Japanese Delight Seaweed Salad on the Go, 0.9-Ounce ~ Super curious to try this.

Acai Energy Boost chews. ~ Tasted fine, but didn’t notice any extra energy.

EBOOST Superberry Natural Shot ~ All natural. It contains green tea and extracts of blueberry, blackberry, pomegranate, mango, acai, maqui berry, and grape seed plus vitamins and minerals. Tasted OK, but still didn’t feel energetic. Something must be wrong with me!

Health Warrior Chia Bars, Coconut, 13.2-Ounce ~ I was hesitant to try it, but I did and WOW. It was amazing.

Coromega Omega3 Squeeze with Vitamin D3, Tropical Orange, 30 Count ~ I got this same box in November’s box. I love this stuff and as I’ve said before, it’s pricey so I’m super happy that I got more of it.

Drinkwel To-Go Packets (With Kudzu Flower, Milk Thistle, N-acetyl Cysteine) ~ This is a special supplement for “healthy”-living people who drink alcohol. One packet before and one packet after the party – and your liver will be protected or at least not affected as m ~uch, it also helps process alcohol. I rarely drink so this will be given to someone else.

Mighty Leaf  Tea Variety ~ Haven’t tried it yet….

Truvia Natural Sweetener ~ I’ve used this before. I like it, but it’s too expensive to keep buying.

Zenify, the Live Stress Free drink ~ I didn’t  like the carbonation, other than that, it tasted pretty good. It supposed to hydrate. It contains L-theanine, which promotes relaxation and concentration, as well as gaba, that is a natural calming agent. I think this is something you have to drink on a regular basis to get the full benefit. Due to the carbonation, I wont be drinking it again.

Revitalizing Dead Sea Mud Mask by Anatomy Naturals. ~ I received this from another subscription box a few months back and tossed it. It smelled horrible and the container leaked. I thought I got a bad batch. NOPE. This one stunk and leaked too. 🙁

Cremo Cream Shave Cream ~ YaY I got this in another KC box and loved it. A little goes a LONG way. It also left my skin soft.

Also in the box were coupons for some of the above products. A holiday survival guide booklet, A $10 card towards a GO Sport ID bracelet, a $50 credit toward Zeel (health and wellness services) and a $50 credit toward iTrain workout programs.

So all in all I am just as happy with this box and I have been with all the others thus far. YaY KLUTCHclub!

postheadericon Julep Maven ~ December

I love the little cards they send with quotes. This months reads:

You make a living by what you get. You make a life by what you give.” ~Winston Churchill

This months theme is “Glitter & Glow” and once again I opted out of my usual profile and chose Boho Glam. The polishes are glittery, which is all the rave right now. It looks great, but taking it off is a pain. Julep came to my rescue. On the back of the big card there are instructions on how to successfully remove glitter polish.

  • 1. Soak a cotton pad in polish remover.
  • 2. Place one pad on each nail.
  • 3. Wrap each nail with foil and sit tight for 3 minutes.
  • 4. Wipe polish off with pad.

There were two surprises in my box. I piece of peppermint candy and a little black velvet bag. It was a clear Cabochon Ring. You can wear it as is, but they recommend making it your own using nail polish. It has an instruction card to walk you through it.

Here is what was in the rest of the box. I must add that it was put together so festive and beautiful.

A tube of instant warming foot scrub. I’m totally going to hide it from my mom! 🙂

The ring and candy and then my two polishes:

Petra ~ cranberry color with silver and magenta micro-glitter

Jordan ~ a full coverage glitter. It has different sizes of silver glitter in a black jelly base.

I can’t wait to try these! They are amazing shades, but my picture taking ability is lacking.

Julep Maven (if you don’t know) is a fabulous subscription program. The salon is located in  Seattle, WA. It is $19.99 a month, and you receive 2 nail colors and 1 product. At least a $40 value. I have built up quite a nail collection thanks to Julep.

postheadericon IPSY ~ Glam Bag

Ipsy is similar to Birchbox in that it is a subscription service that specializes in cosmetic products. Like Birchbox, for $10 per month you get four to five products in a cute little cosmetic bag. Items may range from full-sized beauty products to deluxe-sized samples. Unlike most boxes there are no special perks for members such as points or referral bonuses.

I recently signed up for this subscription and as soon as I get my first box I’ll share with you all. 🙂
