HAPPY NEW YEAR! I hope everyone’s New Year has started out fabulous. Here is this months quote from the card.

This months theme is Escape & Unwind. It’s the Neons and Nudes Resort Collection. I almost skipped this month because I’m not into neon or nude shades. I love purple though and couldn’t resist!

Once again I opted out of my collection. I don’t even remember what it is anymore. I’m thankful that Julep is flexible and gives you a choice.

Here is January Bombshell:

BETTE: Electric neon purple creme. It’s lighter that the picture, but if you put enough coats on it’s pretty close.

AVA: Ballet slipper pink frost. It’s really pretty, but does not suite my Latina skin tone (in my opinion), so it’s going to a friend.

Extras!

I love the hand and cuticle stick! It’s formula is spot on; not too greasy yet super moisturizing! The quick-absorbing formula is made with shea butter and peptides, but no parabens or sulfates. I also love it’s compact size that makes it possible to just in my purse or work bag. It’s non-leaky as well.

The Twistbands are not new to me. (Not pictured. I gave them away before I took pictures.) I’ve received them in two other sample boxes. They are a cute and fabulous idea, but I have SUPER thick hair, they are too small.

The Swatch Me Stickers seem like they’d be messy. I’m not sure if I’m going to try them out.

Fabulous necklace by JewelMint~ Various Styles $29.99I’m not much into gold tones, but this is a really nice piece. The picture does not do it justice.

I’m so happy I got this mystery box. It’s well worth over $100 and as always, Julep hits the spot for nail polish junkies like me!

Very festive and cute, but not too impressed with this month’s box. Included is a $50 credit to Rent The Runway.com, but there is nothing my size! You also have to rent something that is at least $125. BOO! Anyway.. Here is the rest of my Birchbox loot.

Number 4 ~ Clarifying Shampoo. Gentle enough for everyday use, this unique cleanser has a low-suds formula that removes buildup without stripping hair of essential oils. Full Size $32. My hair begs for conditioner so when I get samples of just shampoo I have no use for them! 🙁

This months’ box is full of FULL-SIZE products! This is the most impressive BB5 box to date for me. I think they “hear” me when I keep threatening to cancel so they up the ante so I’ll stay. LOL

As you can see this month is very festive. The only thing missing is the usual confetti. I’m not bummed though. I’m tired of trying to keep my cats from eating it. Each time I open a box they flock like vultures!

The card this month not only has a list of what goodies you get, but a nice little note.
