This month’s BoxyCharm theme is “Girls Night Out’. Now you might be asking, “Where is August”? There was a shipping snafu and after contacting them and finding out what the hell was going on I got it shipped over night two days ago. I’m going to skip the unboxing though.

I must add that customer service was wonderful and I was reimbursed for my box even though they sent it out anyway. I think I’ll be sticking around for a while. Here is this month’s loot.

Once again I’m happy with my box. Totally things I’d never buy, but now that I have them, I really like them.

If you aren’t afraid to try to new things, even if they are from a Drugstore, you should give BoxyCharm a try.

postheadericon BoxyCharm ~ June 2013

BoxyCharm is a new subscription service that launched this month. They deliver full and sample-size beauty products.  They sent out a few boxes last month (Where do I get the hook-up for free boxes??) and people were freaking out because the products were from drugstores and the research they did lead them to the conclusion that the products were discontinued. Shortly after, BoxyCharm posted a disclaimer on Facebook (I also got an e-mail) that they indeed get products from 3rd parties that may or may not be discontinued.

I got my box and I’m happy with it. All the stuff was from brands I know, but the product itself was “new and different” to me. BONUS: They were all full-sized products.

Yes, most of these items are things I would not buy, but I’m glad I got introduced to them. That’s the point of Subs isn’t it? To be introduced to new and DIFFERENT products. If I don’t like them (sometimes I don’t care for the high-end stuff I get.) I pass them to a friend or family member. I make up my own Sub/Mystery boxes. LOL Enough ranting.. This is what I got in my box this month.

L’Oreal EverSleek super sleek intense serum for hair. My mom LOVES this stuff.

Essie nail polish ~ Watermelon. I love Essie, but not this shade. I know someone that would love it though *wink*

Sally Hansen nail art pen ~ Hot Pink

Revlon Colorburst lip gloss ~ Glittering Garnet

Almay intense i-color kit for Hazel eyes. Eek my eyes are brown.

Rimmel Lash Accelerator mascara in Black

Rimmel soft kohl eyeliner in Jet Black

Hidden underneath is a Mary Kay make-up bag. WTH? haha oh well.

Oh and Yes, I’m keeping this sub for a few more months out of curiosity and well, because I’m a subscription box addict. 🙂

I paid for this box myself and all opinions are my own. ~D

postheadericon New Beauty Subscription Box ~ BoxyCharm

BoxyCharm is a new beauty and makeup subscription service. Yesterday was the launch date.

The Products: 5-6 drugstore beauty items that will include nail care, skin care, makeup, haircare, fragrance and more. (At least 4 of those items will be full-sized). I must admit I’m not keen on the idea of drugstore items, but I’ll give it a go.

Price: $21
